Training

Our care assistants continue to develop their professional training, we have one member of staff with her Registered managers’ award, and six care assistants with level 3 NVQ in Health and Social Care and 10 more staff with their level 2 in Health and Social Care. Four of our level 2`s staff are commencing on their level 3 training. Some of the staff are continuing with their training by completing their Certificates in Administration of Medicines and Infection Control courses.

We are attending training sessions with In Touch Care, Sheffield, and five staff have commenced elearning with them. Staff attended the In Touch Care’s open day and helped in their training room to demonstrate feeding of residents.

The centre has been awarded the Investors in Education award; this is an employer led initiative to enable a business to understand and work more effectively with local schools and colleges.


The standard is recognised by the Chamber of Commerce and the local authority and the CSCI is considering the award as part of the inspection progress.

We have t students from different local schools and colleges attending the centre for training and we have placements from a local school that catesr for these with learning difficulties.
